Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of a new co-head of global foreign exchange for Asia Pacific.
Ruchir Sharma rejoins Deutsche Bank as co-head of global FX for APAC, according to a statement, effective immediately. Based in Singapore, he will work closely with fellow co-head Darren Boulos who is based in Sydney.
Sharma reportedly left Credit Suisse in July to join Deutsche Bank but it was unclear what his new role would be at the time. He was the Swiss bank’s head of APAC FX trading for over 12 years and previously also worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as well as Deutsche Bank.
«Together with [Boulos], he will be instrumental in providing high-quality service to our clients and ensuring the continued success of Deutsche Bank’s FX platform,» said global head of FX Russell LaScala.
