Baltimore-based Brown Advisory strengthens its Asia Pacific presence with the hire of a former executive from Janus Henderson.
Serena Sim joins Brown Advisory as head of intermediary sales, Asia, according to a statement, based in Singapore.
Sim has 15 years of asset management experience, most recently as the head of intermediary sales for Southeast Asia at Janus Henderson. Previously, she also worked at BNP Paribas Asset Management, Legg Mason Asset Management and Schroder Investment Management.
Singapore Office
Brown Advisory opened its Singapore office in 2019 following increased interest in the firm’s US and global equity and fixed income strategies alongside rising demand for sustainable investing expertise in the region. The office has raised more than $1 billion in assets from clients based in the APAC region.

Founded in 1993, Brown Advisory is an investment management firm that houses 800 colleagues in 17 offices, serving clients in over 40 countries. It is responsible for approximately $122 billion in assets for private and institutional clients as well as charities.
