The Asia consumer, private and business banking unit of Standard Chartered has announced a series of new senior appointments.

Several new appointments have been made at Standard Chartered’s consumer, private and business banking unit (CPBB) in Asia, according to a statement, all effective April 3.

«Our international and highly interconnected business presents tremendous opportunities to drive synergy to deliver best-in-class expertise and solutions. To this end, the network supports the career development of our talents,» said Asia CPBB head and global head of digital business Samir Subberwal.

Taiwan

Taiwan CPBB head Kate Lin has been named global head of credit card new customer acquisition, reporting to global head of credit cards & personal loans (CCPL) Manoj Piplani. Lin will continue to be based in Taipei before relocating to Singapore next year.

General manager of affluent coverage for onshore Singapore Sebastian Hia succeeds Lin as Taiwan CPBB head. Hia will relocate to Taipei and report to Subberwal as well as Taiwan CEO Ian Anderson.

Indonesia, Hong Kong

Jeffrey Tan, Indonesia CPBB head, will return to Singapore as head of affluent coverage for onshore Singapore. In the role, Tan reports to Singapore head of CPBB Jessie Li.

Hong Kong CCPL head and regional head CC Greater China & North Asia Parag Dhingra will take on the new role of Indonesia CPBB head. Dhingra will relocate to Jakarta and report to Subberwal and Andrew Chia, cluster CEO, Indonesia & ASEAN markets (Australia, Brunei & the Philippines).

Finally, global head of credit card new customer acquisition Anshul Sabherwal will become head, CCPL and personal segment, Hong Kong. He will relocate to the city and report to Hong Kong CPBB head Stephen Man.
