A 30-year industry veteran is joining HSBC’s private banking arm to lead wealth planning in the Asia Pacific region.
HSBC Global Private Banking appoints Henry Lam as regional head of wealth planning and advisory, Asia Pacific, according to a statement, effective March 28. In addition to his wealth planning role, he will also help drive the agenda for the bank's ultra-high net worth business in Asia on an interim basis.
Based in Hong Kong, Lam reports to APAC regional head Siew Meng Tan.
Lam has more than 30 years of industry experience, most recently as APAC head of wealth solutions at Credit Suisse. Previously, he spent over 20 years at UBS, including as head of wealth planning for Hong Kong.
