The new appointment moves from London to Singapore and will focus on leveraged finance in India and Southeast Asia.
Rahul Chatterji will join Linklaters’ Asia banking practice as a partner in Singapore in May 2023, according to an announcement sent Monday.
Chatterji joins from his previous role as a partner at Shearman & Sterling in the London office, where he has been located since 2021.
Debt Finance Experience
In his new role, Chatterji will focus on the Indian and Southeast Asian leveraged finance markets. He will work closely with the global team in both Singapore and London to support clients across Asia.
Chatterji is a debt finance lawyer with experience in advising both lenders and borrowers across cross-border financing transactions. His experience includes leveraged buyouts, public-to-private transactions, investment-grade lending, and special situation transactions.
