Franklin Templeton strengthens its Thailand business with the hire of a former executive from Singapore-based Eastspring.
Benjarong Techamuanvivit joins Franklin Templeton as head of Thailand business, according to a statement, subject to regulatory approval by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
Based in Singapore, Techamuanvivit reports to Asia head of retail Christian Bucaro. She will also partner with Sweta Dugar, head of institutional business, Southeast Asia (ex-Malaysia), who will continue to lead relationships with institutional investors in Thailand, excluding local asset managers.
Techamuanvivit has over 20 years of industry experience in Thailand’s financial sector, most recently as deputy managing director and head of corporate strategy, product, digital and marketing at Eastspring Asset Management (Thailand). Previously, she also worked at Kasikorn Asset Management, Manulife Asset Management (Thailand), Deutsche Bank and Citibank.
