In a bid to attract wealthy immigrants, New Zealand has announced that it will relax requirements to qualify for its investment-linked visa program.
New Zealand is relaxing requirements for the application of its «Active Investor Plus Visa», according to a government statement.
Effective April 1, two simplified investment categories will be introduced – growth and balanced – with an expanded scope to include assets such as bonds and property. Other requirements will also be loosened such as the time required to be spent in the country and the removal of an English language requirement.
«They reflect feedback from investors and industry stakeholders and provide attractive investment options for lower-risk investments that will attract new investors to our shores,» the statement said. «They also allow investors to become familiar with New Zealand’s investment community and gain the confidence to undertake more active investments in the future.»
