Geneva-based UBP has hired a former HSBC private banker as a team head for the North Asia market.
UBP appoints Andrew Chin as team head, North Asia, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, Chin reports to region head North Asia and Hong Kong chief executive Ivan Wong.
Chin was most recently desk head, ultra-high net worth Hong Kong at HSBC Global Private Banking where he managed a team of senior relationship managers and worked closely with family offices in Asia. Previously, he was head of investment counseling at HSBC’s private banking arm covering Hong Kong, the Philippines and international markets, and also held senior corporate treasury solutions roles at the bank’s global markets arm.
