Paris-based BNP Paribas Wealth Management has announced the appointment of a new chief operating officer for Asia.
BNP Paribas Wealth Management appoints Marc Kermaidic as chief operating officer (COO) for wealth management Asia, according to a statement, effective June 1. Kermaidic succeeds Long Doan who will take on a new role within BNP Paribas, to be announced in due course.
Based in Singapore, Kermaidic will report directly to Asia chief executive Arnaud Tellier and functionally to COO and chief transformation officer Pierre Vincent.
In the role, Kermaidic will be responsible for operations, client life cycle management, finance and performance management as well as IT support and projects.
Investment Services Development
Kermaidic was most recently head of investment services development for the wealth management business' global Asian and international markets. Prior to taking up this role in 2017, he was head of investment counselling in Hong Kong after moving from Dubai in 2013, where he took on various other roles.
«With a strong background in financial markets, products and services, and client-facing sales experience, I am confident that [Kermaidic] will help us further strengthen our platform in Asia to keep improving our efficiency and quality of service,» Tellier said.
