Standard Chartered has bolstered its sustainability capabilities with the hire of an expert in the field and former Credit Suisse executive.
Standard Chartered appoints Dana Barsky as global head of sustainability strategy and net zero, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, she reports to group chief sustainability officer (CSO) Marisa Drew and will become a member of the CSO management team.
In the role, Barsky will be responsible for the delivery of the bank’s net zero commitments; accelerating sustainability integration; further developing sustainability-related relationships across the public and private sectors; and creating new sustainable partnerships.
Sustainability Experience
Barsky has over 25 years of corporate finance, M&A and sustainability experience. She was most recently president of Growth for Good, a publicly listed special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) focused on «sustainable companies with business fundamentals and high growth potential».
Previously, she also worked at Credit Suisse where she held a variety of sustainability roles, including global head of sustainable finance.
