Geneva-headquartered UBP has hired a handful of private bankers in Singapore to cover various markets in the Asia Pacific region.
UBP has recently hired seven private bankers in its Singapore branch, according to a statement.
Jennie Hananto has joined as market head for Southeast Asia, tasked with managing a team of bankers. Prior to UBP, Hananto led a Southeast Asia team at EFG Bank and served as vice chair of Southeast Asia at Bank J. Safra Sarasin.
UBP has also hired Yi Mun Tse as market head for Greater China. Previously, Tse served as Greater China market head at Deutsche Bank’s wealth management arm and held a similar role at HSBC’s private banking unit.
Donniel Low has been appointed as team head for Southeast Asia. He was a startup investor before joining the bank and previously also worked at UOB Private Bank.

In addition, UBP also welcomed Lim Kean Choon, Valerie Tan, Zen Cheng and Whilton Leo as senior relationship managers.
Lim was formerly a private banker at UOB and HSBC in Singapore.
Tan previously worked at Pictet, Bank of Singapore and Barclays.
Cheng joins from Goldman Sachs’ global markets division.
Before UBP, Leo worked at EFG and J. Safra Sarasin.
