The asset management arm of BNP Paribas has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer for Hong Kong.

BNP Paribas Asset Management appoints Peggy Lee as Hong Kong CEO – subject to regulatory approval – and Asia Pacific chief marketing officer (CMO), effective November 8. Based in Hong Kong, Lee reports to APAC CEO Mike Nikou and London-based global CMO Paul Van Eynde

Lee has over 20 years of experience in the financial sector, most recently at Manulife Investment Management where she was its global head of retail marketing and Asia CMO. Previously, she held other asset management as well as banking roles at HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank and Allianz Global Investors.

Lee succeeds Guillaume Wehry, who will be relocating to Europe to take on another role within the BNP Paribas group.
