High net worth insurance specialist Transamerica Life (Bermuda) has announced the appointment of a new chief operating officer.
Transamerica Life appoints Brian Chui as chief operating officer, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he will assume leadership over operations, coverage of new business, underwriting, customer service and claims. Chui joined parent group Aegon’s Asia unit in 2007 before being promoted to head of risk at Transamerica.
He replaces Andy Wong who relinquished his role as chief operating and transformation officer on November 17, after being named to the position in October 2022.
Transamerica is a part of Dutch financial group Aegon and it focuses on providing insurance solutions for high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals. The insurer has had a presence in Asia for over 85 years and has over 40 years of experience managing universal life portfolios.
