Sydney-headquartered insurer QBE has announced the appointment of a new CEO for Asia.
QBE has appointed Rob Kosova as CEO of its Asia business, according to a statement, effective April 1 and subject to regulatory approval. He succeeds Jason Hammond who will relocate to his native Australia. Based in Singapore, Kosova reports to QBE International CEO Jason Harris.
Kosova has more than two decades of experience across risk management and consultancy. He joined QBE in 2018 and most recently held the role of general manager commercial.
QBE was founded in 1886 as a marine insurance company in Townsville, Australia. Since then, the Australia-listed insurer has grown to establish a presence in 26 countries.
