Sun Life Appoints Asia CFO
Canadian insurer Sunlife has appointed a new chief financial officer for Asia.
Sun Life has appointed Bennet Li as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO) for Asia, according to a statement. Based in Hong Kong, he will report to Tim Deacon, executive vice president and CFO as well as Manjit Singh, president of Sun Life Asia. Li will also join the Asia executive team.
In the role, Li will be responsible for aligning Sun Life's financial strategies, operational processes and capital allocation across the region. He will focus on driving finance strategic objectives to accelerate growth in Asia and deliver long-term value for shareholders.
Li joined Sun Life in 2002 and held various leadership positions across finance, actuarial and group benefits and retirement services in both Asia and Canada. He has been interim CFO for Sun Life Asia since September 2024 and also previously served as vice president, head of strategic finance and country manager for mainland China.
