The former head of global equities at the now-defunct Credit Suisse has been chosen to lead execution services at UBS, finews.asia has learned.
UBS has appointed Neil Hosie as global head of execution services, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia, effective immediately.
Hosie started his trading career with UBS in London before moving to Hong Kong where he spent 23 years. Prior to assuming the role on an ad-interim basis in March, he was the global head of equities at Credit Suisse.
Predecessor
Hosie succeeded Brent Johnson, who is retiring after over 26 years with the firm. Johnson has been leading global markets execution services since its formation in 2021. Previously, he was co-head of global markets execution and also held various key roles in equities.
When contacted, a spokesperson for the bank confirmed the contents of the memo.
