The private wealth arm of& Deutsche Bank has appointed a head of external set managers for emerging markets. 

Deutsche Bank has appointed Hugo van Kattendijke as head of external asset managers (EAM) for private bank emerging markets, according to a statement, effective August 19. Based in Singapore, he reports to Marco Pagliara, the private banking unit’s head of emerging markets. 

Van Kattendijke has more than 20 years of experience in financial services and direct management experience with EAMs. He joins from UBS, which took over Credit Suisse where he was its former head of EAM APAC. Prior to joining Credit Suisse in 2022, he held various roles at UBS for 10 years including head of asset servicing APAC and head of financial intermediaries APAC. Previously, he also worked at Vontobel.
