A former private banker from Deutsche Bank has joined Singapore-based wealth management firm Alpha Quest as a managing director.

Alpha Quest has appointed Shankar Jha as managing director, group head, according to a statement. In the role, he will manage investments for wealthy and sophisticated families and work on growing the firm's franchise. 

Jha has 25 years of experience at major financial institutions, most recently managing director and group head at Deutsche Bank Private Bank. Previously, he also worked at DBS Private Bank, UBS and Citi Private Bank.
