The corporate solutions unit of Swiss Re has appointed a country head for Australia and New Zealand.
Swiss Re Corporate Solutions has appointed Kevin Bates as country head of Australia & New Zealand, according to a statement, effective November 4. Based in Sydney, he succeeds Christine Bell, who has decided to retire.
«With more than two decades of experience in insurance, risk management, corporate finance and leading diverse teams, Kevin brings with him a strategic mindset and mature leadership style which makes him an exceptional candidate for the role,» commented Jonathan Rake, regional CEO APAC at Swiss Re Corporate Solutions.
Established in 2007, Swiss Re Corporate Solutions offers a range of commercial insurance solutions, including property, liability, financial lines, and construction insurance policies and products to Australia and New Zealand. According to Rake, the Swiss insurer has seen «consistent growth over the last three years» in the two markets.
