The private banking arm of Crédit Agricole has appointed a former UOB executive as its chief strategist for Asia.

Indosuez Wealth Management has appointed Francis Tan as chief strategist Asia, according to a statement. Based in Singapore, he reports to Arjan de Boer, head of markets, investments & structuring, Asia. 

In the newly created role, Tan will represent the group’s chief investment officer. He is responsible for formulating and articulating the bank’s global investment strategies in Asia s well as translating them into bespoke portfolio solutions for high net worth clients. 

Tan has over 20 years of experience in economic research and financial services, most recently as an investment strategist at UOB Private Bank. Previously, he also worked at Phillip Capital and Royal Bank of Scotland.
