Singapore-based external asset manager Lighthouse Canton has hired a seasoned private banker, formerly working at Deutsche Bank, to boost the North Asia business.
Lighthouse Canton has appointed Stella Lau as managing director, wealth advisory, according to a statement. In the role, she will be responsible for strengthening the firm’s client base and leading the growth strategy for North Asia. Several experienced bankers who have previously worked with Lau have also joined her team.
Lau has over 20 years of private banking and leadership experience, previously working at Deutsche Bank as Greater China market group head. Prior to that, she also held similar roles at J.P. Morgan, UBS and Credit Suisse.
Internal Promotion
In addition, the external asset manager has also promoted Charlene Lin to managing director, strategic growth - North and Southeast Asia. Lin is a founding member of Lighthouse Canton and has been instrumental in cultivating deep client relationships and significantly expanding the firm’s influence.

Revenue, AUM Rise
In the first half of 2024, Lighthouse Canton’s revenue rose 89 percent year-on-year while hiring has increased 23 percent year-to-date. By the end of 2024, it expects assets under management (AUM) to cross $4 billion.
Established in 2014, Lighthouse Canton is an external asset manager headquartered in Singapore with additional offices in Dubai, India and London employing more than 160 professionals. It provides comprehensive wealth and asset management services to ultra-high net worth individuals, family offices, private accredited investors and institutional investors. As of 30 June 2024, it had $3.7 billion in AUM.
