StanChart Adds Ex-UniCredit Investment Banker

London-headquartered Standard Chartered has strengthened its investment banking business with the hire of a former UniCredit executive.

Standard Chartered has hired Andrea Casati as head of client development, global banking, according to a statement, effective May 6. Based in Hong Kong, he will also join the global banking management team and report to Henrik Raber, global head of global banking.

Casati has three decades of investment banking experience, most recently at UniCredit where he was vice chair of advisory and financing solutions. Prior to that, he held senior roles in equities sales and trading, equity capital markets and advisory at J.P. Morgan, UBS and Goldman Sachs in Europe, the US and Asia.
