Toronto-based Sun Life has hired a senior executive from rival insurer Prudential in Asia.
Sun Life has appointed David Lim as chief agency officer, Asia, according to a statement, effective September 2. Based in Hong Kong, he will report to David Broom, chief client and distribution officer for Asia.
In the role, Lim will lead the delivery of an agency model leveraging digital platforms to enhance client experience across the Asia businesses. He will also help advise on channel growth, provide insights to develop best practices and foster greater engagement between clients, advisors and Sun Life.
Lim joins from Prudential where he held senior agency distribution roles since 2012, tasked with reforming and enhancing recruitment, digital capabilities and next generation agency. Prior to that, he held various agency management positions in Hong Kong, China and Singapore.
