The Hong Kong CEO duties of Charles Monat Associates have been transferred following a top personnel change.
Charles Monat Associates’ Berry Wong will move from being APAC CEO to strategic advisor of the firm, according to a statement, effective May 1.
Wong will enter a new phase in his career by establishing his own practice in the wealth management field. He joined Charles Monat in August 2017 shortly after a successful management buyout from Willis Towers Watson.
Hong Kong CEO Duties
Wong's Hong Kong CEO duties will be transferred to Teddy Chu who is currently the firm’s Hong Kong deputy CEO. Chu is a seasoned wealth planner with over 25 years of experience in Asia, having previously worked at private banks at HSBC, Deutsche Bank, Standard Chartered, BNP Paribas and Royal Bank of Canada.
