A former BlackRock portfolio manager has joined Citi as the global chief investment officer of its wealth unit.
Kate Moore has been named as chief investment officer of Citi Wealth, according to an internal memo seen by finews.asia, effective February 2025. In the role, she will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of independent investment strategies for clients, advisors and relevant professionals across the business. She will also oversee the bank's chief investment office, global investment committee, investment lab and sustainable investing team.
Moore takes over from Steven Wieting who has held the role on an interim basis for the past six months. He will continue in his role as chief investment strategist and economist within the chief investment office.
Thematic Strategy
Moore joins from BlackRock where she worked for eight years, most recently as portfolio manager and head of thematic strategy for the asset manager’s $50 billion global allocation business. Previously, she also worked at J.P. Morgan Private Bank, Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Moore Capital and Morgan Stanley.
