UOB’s tech and ops head has joined the board of Singapore’s Network for Electronic Transfers.

UOB head of group technology and operations Lawrence Goh has been appointed to the board of directors at Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS) – a major payment services group in Singapore – according to a statement. He succeeds Eddie Khoo, senior advisor to UOB Vietnam, as a UOB representative to the NETS board.

Goh has over 30 years of experience in large-scale business transformation. In addition to his role at UOB, he is also the Technology and Operations Workgroup co-chair of the MAS-ABS (Monetary Authority of Singapore-Association of Banks in Singapore) Cross Border Governance Steering Committee; a member of the ABS Digitalization Standing Committee; and UOB’s alternate director on the Clearing House Association.

«We are pleased to welcome Lawrence to the board. He has extensive experience in driving technology transformation and enabling innovation. As digital adoption continues to accelerate, a robust payment system is essential to ensure the consumer experience is secure and seamless,» commented NETS chairman Jeremy Soo.
