US lender Citi has announced some personnel changes to its markets sales team for China.
Citi has appointed Jeff Wu as head of markets sales for China, according to an internal note. He will relocate to Shanghai and report to Cecile Gambardella, head of sales for markets in Japan, Asia North and Australia and Asia South as well as Ji Yang, head of markets for China.
In the role, Wu will be responsible for consolidating Citi’s sales efforts across all markets products for financial institutions and corporate solutions clients both onshore and offshore. He joined Citi in 2010 and recently led the China solutions sales team.
Offshore and Onshore Integration
In addition, Jing Li will lead sales efforts across all markets products for financial institutions in China. The financial institutions sales team will report to Li who will report to Wu. The corporate solution sales team (CSG) covering China clients will report to Wu and Yoshiyuki Takano.
«These appointments underscore our commitment to our clients in China and brings together our offshore and onshore teams for the first time,» said the note. «This structure will enable Citi to leverage its collective client relationships and deliver value to both clients and Citi.»
