The private wealth business of insurance intermediary group Howden has announced two senior promotions in Asia.
Howden Private Wealth has appointed Bryan Pee as CEO, Singapore and Malaysia, according to a statement. In the role, he will oversee several teams and also become a member of Howden Private Wealth’s executive committee where he will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the division’s strategic direction.
Pee has been promoted to the role after joining Howden in September 2023 as head of the Singapore and Malaysia offices. Prior to that, he had a background in senior management at Credit Suisse.
Hong Kong Deputy Chief
The firm has also promoted Shirley Sy to deputy CEO, Hong Kong. She will continue to lead Howden’s Hong Kong operations while also taking on a key responsibility for partnership engagement.
Sy joined Howden as a business manager in 2011 before being elevated to head of operations in 2014.
Business Growth
In 2024, Howden Private Wealth posted strong business growth with a 45 percent year-on-year increase in policies written. Overall, the firm has placed over $50 billion in life insurance coverage globally and more than $1.5 billion in new premiums annually.
