The former AMP chief executive Craig Dunn has joined Westpac Banking Corp's board as an independent director. Dunn is also the chairman of Stone & Chalk a new physical Fintech hub being built in Sydney. Westpac is among the foundation members of the hub.
Dunn who is a strong supporter of Fintech will give the bank additional insight into the growing sector.
Having been AMP chief executive from 2008 to 2013 Craig Dunn will also bring extensive experience in wealth management.
"Wealth management is a key growth area for Westpac, and having Craig on the board will support this strategy and complement the board's current skills and experience," Westpac chairman Lindsay Maxsted said.
Dunn also has valuable Asian experience having acted as chief executive of a Malaysia-based insurance company and worked with KPMG in Indonesia.
