The Indonesian owner of Inter Milan tycoon Erick Thohir has been in the news again this weekend claiming he will do all he can to bring success back to Inter Milan by pinning hopes on being able to secure the expensive services of Yaya Toure.
Thohir loves his sport he also has stakes in the MLS Club DC United and the NBA’s Philadelphia 76ers, his name has also recently been linked as part of a consortium interested in making a move to acquire the Atlanta Hawks.
The Ivory Coast midfielder has been heavily linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium this summer.
The current Inter coach Roberto Mancini was responsible for taking the Ivory Coast player to the Premier League Manchester City from Barcelona in 2010. Mancini claims he has a good working relationship with Toure.
Asked about the chances of signing the Ivorian, Thohir said in an interview with Indonesian newspaper Tempo: " Chances? I do not know. What is clear is we will continue to try to bring him here."
Toure's adviser Dimitri Seluk has cast doubt on the player's position at City, claiming recently that he was "90 per cent" certain to leave this summer.
