The Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has issued an alert to members of the public to a fraudulent website with the domain name:
"http://new.positio.pl/tmp/HKSBC".
The website purports to be the official website of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (HSBC). HSBC has clarified that it has no connection with the fraudulent website.
The HKMA are constantly on the lookout for fake sites and have been stepping up their detection efforts. Hong Kong has seen a steady increase in the number of fraudulent bank websites and phishing emails. The HKMA have issued 10 such bulletins in 2015 alone.
