As part of its international growth strategy Korean law firm Bae, Kim & Lee has established an office in Hong Kong.
The Korean law firm has already established overseas offices in Shanghai, Beijing, Dubai and has plans to open in Vietnam where several Korean conglomerates have built business operations.
The new Hong Kong office will concentrate on financial and regulatory work advising corporates and financial institutions on their Korean investments and Korean clients on Hong Kong legal issues.
“We have worked for a lot of Hong Kong-based clients for a long time,” said senior BKL partner Keun Byung Lee, who is overseeing the expansion and operations of the office, in a statement.
Corporate partner Tongeun Kim has relocated from Seoul to head the new office. He will be joined by finance and regulatory specialist Dongwook Kang.
