In Hong Kong Credit Suisse has seen the departure of a senior banker. Jimmy Lee whose last known role was as Hong Kong market leader has left the Swiss lender.
Following the completion of Credit Suisse’s legal merger with Clariden Leu on April 2, 2012, Lee re-joined Credit Suisse as a managing director, responsible for the integration of Clariden Leu’s business. He had previously been managing director and group manager for SE Asia at Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in Singapore and also held senior roles at Credit Suisse, Coutts, J.P. Morgan and Swiss Bank Corporation, now UBS.
Sources have told Asian Wealth Times said that Lee could be returning to Singapore to take up a senior South East Asian role with another Swiss or North American private bank.
Also in Hong Kong Victor Wang has been hired by British bank Barclays to lead its China financials research and China equity strategy team.
Deutsche Bank is said to have recruited the former UBS banker Kefei Li as a senior member of its ECM team.
ANZ’s head of debt syndicate for Asia, James Holian has left the bank.

In the frontier market of Myanmar ZICOLaw has hired Samuel P. Britton as its Myanmar managing partner in Yangon. Britton’s experience includes advising on transactions involving intellectual property, cross-border financing, stock acquisitions, security agreements, securities regulation, joint ventures, as well as negotiation and analysis.
Neuberger Berman in Australia has appointed Angela Verco as its new relationship manager. Ms Verco was previously with JP Morgan. This is a newly created position; Ms Verco will be responsible for leading Neuberger Berman’s local client relationships.
Nikko Asset Management (Nikko AM) Australia has appointed Naomi Finnigan to the newly created role of head of private wealth.
