Northern Trust has named Madeleine Senior as head of Australia and New Zealand, replacing Rohan Singh who will return to Northern Trust’s Singapore office as head of Singapore and South East Asia.
Senior assumes the role on 1 September 2015 and will be responsible for leading Northern Trust’s business in Australia and New Zealand, providing asset servicing and asset management solutions to institutional and fund manager clients in these countries. She will report to William Mak, head of Asia-Pacific for Northern Trust
Nomura has appointed Shengbo Tang as Head of Hong Kong and China insurance and non-bank financials research. He will be based in Hong Kong and reports to Wendy Liu, Head of China Equity Research. In his new role, he will lead Nomura’s insurance and non-bank financials research in Hong Kong and China.
Mercer’s Financial Services business has been bolstered by the appointment of Anthony Angelucci to the role of Strategic Planning and Delivery Leader. Angelucci succeeds Andrew Godfrey, who has recently been promoted into the role of Financial Services Business Leader.
Global law firm Jones Day has announced that Elizabeth Cole has joined the Firm's Singapore Office. Ms. Cole joins as a partner and will be part of the Firm's M&A Practice. She arrives from the Hong Kong office of Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP where she was a partner in that firm's Emerging Markets practice.
Kathryn Nguyen Do Nhu Phuong is now an Associate in the fund management division with LaSalle Investment Management in Singapore. Nguyen Do’s new position is a promotion from her former role as an Analyst with LaSalle, and comes just over two years since she joined the real estate investment firm. Prior to joining LaSalle, the graduate of National University of Singapore spent nearly four years with Mapletree in Singapore and Vietnam.
James Darkins, Chief Executive for TH Real Estate, has announced his retirement from the business. Darkins led the expansion of Henderson’s real estate business throughout Europe & Asia Pacific, leading to the formation of TH Real Estate in 2014, creating the fourth largest real estate investment manager globally.
