Hong Kong:
Korea-based asset manager Mirae has appointed Theresa Yu as their new corporate communications manager. Theresa will be based in Hong Kong working with Ashley Dale and Sabrina Kwek
Former Citic CLSA Securities banker Diva Hon has joined Bank of Communications International as an executive director of its equity capital markets team.
Terence Lau has been hired by Norton Rose Fulbright in Hong Kong as a corporate and equity capital markets partner. Lau joins from Hogan Lovells, where he had been a partner since 2008.
Singapore:
Hermes Investment Management has expanded its sales team in Singapore with the addition of Brian Sng. Previously with M&G Investments Asia, Sng has joined Hermes as manager for business development, Asia, to support Jack Nilsson, the head of business development, Asia Pacific, as they expand their wholesale offering.
Alex Kwan has joined LGT in Singapore with both a fund selection and advisory role. Kwan was formerly with HSBC Private Bank in a fund selection role.
Tan Hak Leh AIA Singapore chief executive will assume a new role in Hong Kong next month. Tan has been promoted to group chief risk officer for AIA Group and will be a member of the group executive committee.
Taking over from Mr Tan, 49, as AIA Singapore chief executive on Sept 1 will be Patrick Teow, 52, who joined AIA in 2013 as chief executive of its group agency distribution business.
In Sydney: Magellan Financial Group has appointed a new senior portfolio manager to its global infrastructure team. Stephen Mentzines has been named as a senior portfolio manager, global infrastructure.
