Vontobel the globally oriented Swiss private bank headquartered in Zurich has made a senior hire in Asia.
Tony Lai has been appointed senior Relationship Manager of Vontobel Wealth Management Asia Pacific (“Vontobel”) in Hong Kong. The appointment underscores Vontobel’s commitment to continue the expansion of its Wealth Management offering in Hong Kong.
Lai has over 34 years of experience in banking in Asia, of which 27 years is in Private Banking. Prior to joining Vontobel, Tony Lai worked for EFG Bank, where he was a senior Relationship Manager and became Chief of Staff in 2013. Throughout his career, he has worked with a number of banks in Hong Kong, including Republic National Bank of New York, American Express Bank and Bank of East Asia.
Tony Lai will reports to Alex Fung, CEO Vontobel Wealth Management Asia Pacific, and started on 28 August 2015 in this newly created role.
