After eight years with the U.K. headquartered Standard Chartered, the global head of commodities for the bank is stepping down.
The bank said in a statement that Arun Murthy, who has managed the specialist division that the bank set up in 2007, will part company with the London-based emerging markets focused firm in mid June

Murthy (pictured) steered the commodity business through the global financial crisis before enjoying the long boom that followed as prices climbed to unprecedented levels, only to fall back again as the China-led global slowdown brought an end to the resources hysteria.
Moving East
The bank's head of metals trading and commodities for Greater China and North Asia, Jeremy East, has been named as acting global head of commodities.
He joined Standard Chartered in 2006 and was responsible for the bank's entry into the Shanghai Gold Exchange.
