TriLake Partners, the Singapore based Independent Asset Management company, has appointed a new Chief Investment Officer. Earlier this month the firm hired a China market specialist from Credit Suisse.
In a note to finews.asia, TriLake Partners said it was continuing its recent expansion by strengthening its investment team with the appointment of Arnulfo de Pala as Chief Investment Officer, with immediate effect.
Prior to joining TriLake Partners, de Pala was Chief Investment Officer and Trust Officer at EastWest Bank in the Philippines. After working as a financial consultant for AXA in Los Angeles, he moved to Manila in 1996 and joined UnionBank of the Philippines where he was the Trust Officer and later, the Head of Market Risk Management.
Former CFA President
In 2002 he moved to HSBC where he handled marketing, product development and training for the wealth management business. He was then assigned to the British Channel Islands to train the financial advisers of HSBC’s offshore operations around the world from 2005 to 2008.
De Pala returned to Manila to head HSBC’s trust department before joining EastWest Bank. He is also the former President of the CFA Society of the Philippines.
