Australian bank ANZ has announced the appointment of a new CEO Laos. The bank focuses on Trade Facilitation, Global Markets and offers Priority services to the growing affluent community in the frontier market.
Anna Green who is currently Chief Risk Officer for ANZ Laos, will take up the role immediately. Since joining ANZ in 2004 she has also held senior risk and regulatory roles across the region. In the new role she will report to ANZ CEO Vietnam and Head of Greater Mekong Region Dennis Hussey.
Green is a senior banker and qualified lawyer with over 15 years of experience working across a range of simple and complex financing projects in Asia, the Pacific, Europe and Australia, in both developed and developing markets. She has been regularly called upon by industry and government leaders to speak on economic and risk related issues in the Greater Mekong region.
United Nations Initiatives
Before joining ANZ, Green worked for large international law firms Clayton Utz and Shearman and Sterling in both Australia and the UK specialising in Corporate, Project and Commercial finance.
She has been advising businesses on achieving successful entry into the Greater Mekong, and also works with various international organisations, including the UN, to promote best practice financial management initiatives across the region.

Green succeeds Tammy Medard who has relocated to Melbourne to lead Institutional Australia’s Diversified Industries team.
