Franklin Templeton Investments has announced a new leadership structure. It organises leadership roles by geography and distribution channel, and includes several new senior-level appointments in Asia.

The geography leadership roles have been organised into three regions. Vivek Kudva has been appointed head of EMEA & India, Andrew Ashton has been appointed head of Americas (ex-US) and Mark Browning will continue his role as head of Asia Pacific, the firm said in a note to finews.asia.

All three geographic leaders will report to Jed Plafker, president, Franklin Templeton International.

In addition, two new channel-focused leadership positions have been created.  Stephen Grundlingh has been appointed as the new channel head of institutional strategy and Harshendu Bindal has been appointed as the new channel head of retail strategy.

Changes in Singapore

Adam Quaife, senior director for CEEME (Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East) region has been named as Regional Head for Southeast Asia, replacing Stephen Grundlingh. Quaife will relocate from Dubai to Singapore. 

Grundlingh was previously co-CEO for Singapore and Regional Head for Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. He was responsible for Franklin Templeton Investments' institutional and retail business in Southeast Asia.

The International Advisory Services (IAS) division within Franklin Templeton Investments is responsible for sales, marketing and business development outside of the United States. IAS employees operate from more than 20 countries, and have relationships with clients in over 175.
