Global investment research and investment management firm Morningstar has appointed from within for the role of Director of Manager Research Ratings Asia-Pacific.
Chris Douglas (pictured) takes on this role after two years working as a senior leader in the company’s North American data business, prior to which he jointly led Morningstar’s local manager research team, the firm said in a note to clients and media.
In the new role he will now lead the company’s manager research and ratings team across Australia and New Zealand, and will be based in Auckland reporting to Morningstar global practice leader of manager research Grant Kennaway.
Former Director Departs
Though Douglas will be based in New Zealand, he will be visit Australia on a regular basis.
«Chris Douglas will bring extensive experience of Australian and New Zealand fund managers and funds to the role,» said Kennaway.
Kathryn Young, who previously held the role of director of manager research ratings Asia-Pacific, will be leaving the company.
