Following leadership changes to its Singapore and Hong Kong units, financial services firm Friends Provident International, has now undergone further changes.
Toby Simpson Singapore sales director for Friends Provident International (FPI) has departed the firm and is relocating to Australia. FPI said they are currently in the process of recruiting his replacement, the firm said in a statement.
In August the Head of the Hong Kong unit Charles Barrows, left FPI and moved across to the role of Vice President Director of Astra Aviva Life in Indonesia. finews.asia reported In May this year that FPI had changed the leadership of its Singapore operations when Previous MD Chris Gill was replaced by Andrew Waddell.
CEO's Vote of Confidence
FPI Hong Kong have set up an interim arrangement for Hong Kong’s leadership with current Aviva Hong Kong CEO Margaret Chiu acting as Managing Director, she will oversee the FPI Hong Kong business.
Patrick Wei, Aviva Asia Chief Distribution Officer, has taken up the additional position of General Manager for FPI Hong Kong (subject to work permit approval). He will assist Chiu in managing the overall running of the FPI Hong Kong office. Wei will relocate from Singapore to Hong Kong for the interim period.
