Fidelity International has announced the appointment of a new Managing Director, Australia, based in Sydney. The new role will carry responsibility of reporting to regulators and critical industry bodies.
In her enhanced role Alva DeVoy, who joined Fidelity in November 2014, will take on additional responsibilities. As well as her position of Investment Director managing Fidelity International’s global investment strategies, she will now also represent the firm’s interests in front of regulators and critical industry bodies.
She will report to Mark Talbot, Managing Director, Asia Pacific, who is based in Hong Kong
Prior to joining Fidelity, DeVoy held several leadership, research and strategy roles at CIMB Securities International Australia, RBS Australia, KBC Asset Management, and Goodbody Stockbrokers.
She holds a PhD in Molecular Engineering from Trinity College Dublin. Fidelity International currently invests in the region of $272 billion globally on behalf of pension funds, central banks, sovereign wealth funds, large corporates, financial institutions, insurers and wealth managers, as well as private individuals private individuals.
