ShawKwei & Partners the Asian private equity fund manager, has appointed a new Managing Director in the firm’s Hong Kong office and a Senior Advisor based in the U.S.
In Hong Kong Peter Ko will further bolster ShawKwei’s presence and investment capability in Asia, while in the U.S. David Hudson has been recruited to provide on-the-ground representation with the United States private equity funds community.
Ko (pictured left) has over 25 years of experience in private equity focused on the Asia Pacific region including with H&Q Asia for 15 years in Korea and with William Simon & Sons in Hong Kong.
Hudson (pictured left) is a private equity industry veteran, with a 40-year career managing, advising and investing in businesses across Asia and the United States. Since 2008, he has been a principle at Darby Private Equity where he oversaw all strategic and operational aspects of the firm’s platforms in Asia. He spent nearly 20 years with J.P. Morgan in commercial and merchant banking roles both in the U.S. and Asia.
ShawKwei is a hands-on investor; having acquired, merged, and invested in a wide range of multinational companies across Asia and Europe since formation 25 years ago.
