The Securities and Futures Commission, Hong Kong’s financial regulator, has updated its Alert List. The city is frequently a target for scam websites and financial phishing.

The Alert List is a record of entities that have come to the attention of the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) because they are unlicensed in Hong Kong and are believed to be, or to have been, targeting Hong Kong investors.

Added to the SFC Alert List on January 3 2017 is the firm Peak Capital Management.

Among the red flags raised by the SFC, was the issue of Peak Capital Management’s Hong Kong address which is incomplete, showing only a prime commercial building location.
