Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the appointment of an Of Counsel in its Singapore-based technology and innovation team.

David Olds is re-joining the firm, having previously worked in the Hong Kong and Singapore office for 4 years, before joining a leading telecommunications company as a legal director, the firm said in a media statement.

He has focused on assisting clients to enter important emerging markets in this region and to manage the risks that may arise as their businesses expand and the legal and regulatory environment changes.

Myanmar Growth

Olds has been practicing for over 20 years, and has lived and worked in Asia for 18 years. His practice focuses on technology and telecommunications-related matters in the Asia Pacific region.

Olds, who has spent a number of years working in Yangon, will also assist in the development of the firm’s Myanmar practice.

«David has deep regional experience in Asia, and unparalleled knowledge of the legal needs of the technology and telecommunications industries in the region. It’s great to welcome him back to the team,» said Stella Cramer, head of the technology and innovation practice for Asia, and head of Risk Advisory for Asia.
