The asset management arm of London-based financial services group Legal & General has made four new hires in Asia.
Legal & General’s asset management division has appointed Russell Huang and Aaron Kwan as heads of wholesale distribution for Southeast Asia and Greater China, respectively, according to a statement. They will both report to Singapore-based Gerald Koh, head of wholesale Asia (ex-Japan).
Huang has over 15 years of industry experience and was most recently executive director at UBS. Kwan has 16 years of banking and asset management experience, most recently as director, retail distribution at HSBC Asset Management.
Credit Research, ESG
In credit research, the firm named Choong Yew Thong as a research analyst in the Singapore office. He was most recently a quantitative analyst at Singaporean sovereign wealth fund GIC.
Kate Lim also joined as ESG analyst in the firm’s regional investment stewardship team, led by Trista Chen, head of investment stewardship, Asia ex-Japan. Lim previously worked at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change and Enterprise Singapore, overseeing regional sustainability projects, working with government stakeholders and driving impact on energy security.
