Dutch bank ABN Amro has re-appointed a former employee as Head of its Financial Institutions Group in Asia.

Simon Wood is rejoining the Dutch bank ABN Amro as Head of Financial Institutions Group (FIG) Asia, based in Hong Kong. He previously worked at ABN Amro from 2004 to 2005 as Head of FIG Asia.

Wood has been Head of FI Investment Banking Asia Pacific at BNP Paribas since 2011. Prior to joining BNP Paribas, he held a similar role at Macquarie in Asia and, more recently, also had oversight of Europe and the U.S.

He began his career with an 8-year stint at Fox-Pitt, Kelton, the specialist FI boutique in London and then in Hong Kong.
