Morgan Stanley has hired three investment specialists to strengthen its team in Hong Kong. The move follows a flurry of changes among the senior Asian management at the U.S. giant.

Morgan Stanley has expanded its investment management services team to support «increasing client demand for funds and alternative investments».

Jimmy Chiu joins Morgan Stanley as an executive director, responsible for advisory and distribution. Chiu was most recently with Bank of China (Hong Kong), where he was head of funds and distribution. Previously, he was at UBS as a desk head for China International and head of investment fund sales.

Morgan Stanley also hired Christina Au-Yeung as a vice president and alternative investments specialist. Au-Yeung joins from Swiss private bank J. Safra Sarasin. And finally, Shirley Li signed a contract also as a vice president and traditional mutual funds specialist. She worked for CSOP Asset Management.

The trio will form the core of Morgan Stanley’s advisory and distribution team within the broader investment management services team.
