BNP Paribas has lost a veteran banker who spent almost twenty years in a market facing role at the French lender: Reshmi Sehgal.

In her role as a managing director she was a team leader at the bank. She now has resigned and is believed to be headed to another European bank, as finews.asia heard.

Well-known in Singapore

A career banker, Sehgal is well known in Singapore banking circles, especially for her work in the NRI (Non Resident Indian market).

Earlier today (Wednesday), finews.asia reported that Stephane Honig (pictured below), the bank’s head of sales for wealth management and family offices as well as its Head of Strategic Equity Solutions APAC, resigned from both roles. BNP Paribas declined to comment.

Resignation Comes as a Shock

Honig was a «BNP-lifer» who spent almost two decades with the bank in various roles. His resignation comes as a shock to many in the industry because he was widely seen as a member of the bank’s Asian leadership team.
